Matcha Tea Celebrates 10th Birthday!

- This February, Matcha Tea label has celebrated a round anniversary. From the almost unknown product, it has in the last 10 years become a popular brand with firm base of loyal fans who not only love our products, but also keep coming back for them. Causes of this success lie not only in the exceptional quality of the product, hard work of the company and product innovations, but also in the fair and equal relationship with importers and our lovely customers. It is also because of those reason why Bio Matcha Tea Harmony became the Product of the year on Heuréka.cz portal for the fifth time in a row.
We are #1 on the market
In the ten years of existence of Matcha Tea, we have grown from a small firm that imports a few types of teas into a medium sized company with significantly growing interannual sales. Right now, Matcha Tea is the number one on the Czech market and simultaneously the biggest importer of matcha to Central and Eastern Europe. The annual sales are growing: in 2020 it was 20 % higher than 2019, and in 2021 grew more than 30 % higher than 2020. In 2021, we expect more growth which we plan to support with popular sales for customers and especially by new and original products with matcha.
Looking back on the beautiful decade
It was a long, successful and amazing decade. We managed to move twice because what we initially considered a lot of space slowly became insufficient with the growing matcha demand. Our product portfolio has grown bigger with other types of tea and products with matcha added – from chocolate, through shake drinks, to lowcarb bar. Our customers also found interesting the cooking and baking grade of matcha.
We managed to get more than 9 certificates of quality, among which we count bio (organic) certificates of specific countries, or the sustainable paper processing FSC certificate for our paper boxes. We have ordered numerous laboratory tests to check the quality of our matcha. We have innovated the traditional Japanese preparation for modern and fast 21st century. On various tasting and outdoor events, we have prepared thousands of beverages just the way you wanted. We have organized hundreds of competitions for our fans. And we plan to continue in a similar pace 😉
Cake was naturally in matcha style
A company celebration took place in the first half of February on which gorgeous and delicious Matcha Tea cake was served. The cake had a form of traditional Japanese granite matcha mill and the emerald matcha powder was not only in the batter but also in the cream. We have really enjoyed the cake and we applaud and thank Kateřina Marková for preparing it for us!
